A recycling center in Burbank reopened after a purported explosive device was found and later deemed to be inert Tuesday morning.
The Burbank Police Department posted to social media at 8:40 a.m. that "a suspicious device" was reported at the City of Burbank Recycle Center, located at 500 S. Flower St.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Arson & Explosives Detail was on scene "to ensure the device is safe," police added.
Just before 9:40 a.m., however, police said "the device was determined to not contain any explosive material and the area has [been] reopened."
