LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) - An investigation into a suspected drug dealer has led to the arrest of five men and the seizure of fentanyl and other drugs.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office identified the men as Darnell “Peanut” Jones, 50; Michael Corkern, 69; Danny Whitehead, 50; Henry Smith, 68; and Clifton Elkins, 52. They are all facing various drug-related charges.
According to the sheriff’s office, the men were arrested after agents secured a search warrant for a home on Herring Drive in Walker where “Peanut” was allegedly distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Deputies reported seizing the following items during the drug bust:
Approximately 28.1g of fentanyl
Approximately 203.2g of methamphetamine
Approximately 6.7g of “speedball” (meth/fentanyl mixture)
