Case dropped against Toledo woman police said cut man’s testicle during break

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Prosecutors have dropped the criminal case against a woman Toledo Police said slashed a man’s testicle sac, leaving it “clearly exposed.”

Court filings from Tuesday morning said the case against Jeanita Hopings, 45, of Toledo, was dropped. The court docket said the alleged victim failed to appear in court twice.

Hopings was originally facing charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary for the incident on Oct. 7 that gained national attention after 13abc’s story aired.
