Most trick-or-treaters will likely be spared from the rain this Halloween despite some late-week showers, meteorologists say.
But those planning to trick-or-treat on Thursday might need to add an umbrella to their costume.
A storm system that will move into the region Wednesday into Thursday is expected to clear up by Friday afternoon — but a few areas could still see some light showers throughout the day on Halloween.
Cool temperatures and gusty winds from Tuesday were expected to continue into Wednesday, said Liana Lupo, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Moon. Highs will hover around the mid to upper 50s and dip into the 30s later tonight.
