Two teenagers were seriously injured late Sunday after a gun they were handling accidentally discharged at an Edmond home.
Calls made to 911 indicate the injuries were sustained when the firearm went off while the teens were in possession of it.
Caller: Two people are shot. two people, my brother, and his friend.
Just before 10 p.m. Sunday, a string of 911 calls sent Edmond police racing to a home near South Broadway and East 23rd Street.
Caller: Send an ambulance, help! Hurry up! Hurry up!
Caller: One was shot in the chest; one was shot in the hand.
During one of the calls, an 18-year-old male claimed he was responsible for shooting himself and his 16-year-old friend.
Caller: I shot myself on accident please come!
