LOS ANGELES - Toronto Blue Jays slugger George Springer remained available for Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday despite leaving Game 3 due to injury, his manager said before the game.
Springer felt something grab in his right side in the seventh inning of a 6-5, 18-inning loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Speaking during a pre-game media availability, Blue Jays manager John Schneider said he was considering a couple different versions of his Game 4 lineup. He wanted to give Springer - who he called 'hour to hour' and 'day to day' - some extra time to see how he was feeling.
Schneider didn't reveal specifics from Springer's MRI exam on Monday night. He said there were no plans to take him off the roster and that he'd either be in the lineup or on the bench.
