A man was hospitalized after being shot Tuesday afternoon in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

The man, 38, was in the 1000 block of North Lawndale Avenue at 2:30 p.m., when a man approached him and fired shots, police said. The man was shot five times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

No one is in custody and no further information about the shooting was available.
