MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Voters in part of Meigs County will see a familiar ballot measure when they head to the polls this Election Day.

A bond and tax levy appear as one measure for Eastern Local Schools. The district said that if passed, the money will provide funding to majorly renovate the district’s two buildings and provide continued maintenance.

A similar levy and bond were on the ballot last fall, but with a much higher price tag, and a bigger focus on athletics. That measure failed, getting 33.64 percent of the vote.

Eastern Local Schools Superintendent Nick Dettwiller said the district went back to the drawing board, cutting the cost of the measure on this year’s ballot in half and refocusing on core renovations.
