ASHEVILLE, N.C. —
A man is in custody after an incident involving a firearm happened at the Biltmore Estate over the weekend.
Around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Lodge Gate security requested assistance with a suspicious man in a black Toyota Tacoma.
Officials said a man displayed a firearm when he reached the estate's first security gate.
According to the incident report, Biltmore Company Police quickly attempted to intercept the vehicle at the admissions gate and a pursuit ensued on Approach Road. The pursuit ended before the Approach Road and Cedar Cliff intersection.
The Asheville Police Department then responded and transported the individual to the Buncombe County Detention Facility.
