WISE, Va. (WJHL) - Virginia Republican leaders rallied in Wise on Tuesday afternoon in an effort to urge Southwest Virginia Republican constituents to get to the polls as Election Day fast approaches.

The panel featured Gov. Glenn Youngkin, Attorney General Jason Miyares, State Senator Todd Pillion and House Speaker Terry Kilgore.

Miyares is running for re-election, leading the polls by one point against his Democratic opponent Jay Jones.

In the aftermath of "concerning" texts from Jones, Miyares said the race is about morality.

"My election is no longer about politics," Miyares told News Channel 11. "It's about a test of decency. We've never had anybody run for attorney general that's literally advocated for violence against children and cops. We've never seen anybody run for attorney
