BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — The Bristol, Virginia City Council approved an agreement that will allow the city's police department and the Bristol, Tennessee Police Department to share video from cameras that will be installed along State Street.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the cameras will be installed between Volunteer Parkway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Bristol, Virginia, Mayor Becky Nave said the city received a state grant to install five cameras at no cost to city taxpayers. She said Bristol, Tennessee, plans to install cameras as well.

"Sometimes our cameras may catch footage of things they need on their side, and then vice versa, their cameras may catch things that we need to see on our side," Nave said. "So this will give us an opportunity to work with Bris
