GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Gooding School District is seeking approval for a new bond in the upcoming election.
The district held an open house presentation today to inform voters about the details of its proposed $26.4 million, 20-year bond.
The school district plans to use the bond funds to add additional classrooms to the high school and the elementary-middle school. The district would also remodel existing classrooms, the high school common area, and the high school special education classroom.
If passed, the bond would cost the average taxpayer $214 per $100,000 annually. The school district said this amount would drop to $78 due to tax relief legislation from the state.
