OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A man who authorities said shot at them near Herman and was taken to a hospital has been located after going missing Tuesday night.

Jake Dunn, public safety & communications coordinator and 2nd assistant fire chief with the City of Blair, confirmed the man was the same person apprehended after the shooting.

In an update shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dunn shared that the man was found and detained by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. There is no further concern to the public’s safety.

“We commend the outstanding teamwork and dedication of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Blair Police Department, Herman Volunteer Fire Department, and Blair Volunteer Fire Department in ensuring a safe resolution,” the release states.
