More than 2 million pounds of ready-to-eat Korean barbecue pork jerky sold at Costco and Sam's Club locations nationwide have been recalled for possible contamination with pieces of metal, federal health officials warned.

LSI Inc., a South Dakota-based company, recalled about 2.3 million pounds of its Golden Island Korean Barbecue recipe fire-grilled pork jerky for possible contamination with wiry metal pieces, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Oct. 24.

The establishment received multiple complaints from consumers finding pieces of metal in the product, according to the FSIS. LSI, Inc. determined that the metal originated from the conveyor belt used in production.
