LEXINGTON, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Cheraw man was arrested Monday after the state Attorney General’s office charged him with crimes related to with sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, James Michael Presnell II, 40, was arrested in Lexington after he allegedly traveled to meet a person he believed to be a minor. Presnell also is accused of sending sexually explicit images to them.

Lexington Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force partnered in the investigation with members with the Attorney General's Office, also a member of the state's ICAC Task Force.

Presnell is charged with: • Two counts of felony criminal solicitation of a minor; • Attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor; and • Two counts of felon
