Omaha Police are searching for a man with an active felony warrant.

Ricardo Kirk, 32, is wanted in connection with a shooting that happened near 54th and Boyd streets on Wednesday.

Officers said Kirk is also a person of interest in a homicide near North 35th and Davenport Street early Wednesday Morning.

Police say a woman called after her car was shot at. She was driving westbound on Davenport Street and saw a man lying on the ground. The woman called 911.

Omaha Fire and police tried to stabilize the man, identified as 27-year-old Leonard Jones, to transport him to the hospital, but he died at the scene.

The Omaha Homicide Unit is now investigating the shooting.
