It's here: this weekend is when it's time to fall back.
Once you get over the scare of Halloween, it's time for the true scare of the autumn season: sunsets before 5 p.m.
On Nov. 2, clocks will "fall back" to standard time, where they will remain until next spring. In Providence, this means a 6:20 a.m. sunrise and a 4:38 p.m. sunset on Nov. 2.
And since we gain an hour , you'll get an extra hour of sleep the morning we switch to standard time.
Here's what to know about the November time change this year.
When does daylight saving time end in 2025?
This year's change from daylight saving time to standard time takes place on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 a.m. local time. Americans will adjust their clocks back by one hour (but not residents of Hawaii, Arizona, and some U.S. territories).
