NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Water Services reports a water main break will shut down a road until early November for repairs.

MWS contractor, Sutherland Construction, excavated a 36″ cast iron pipe that had a substantial break on Wednesday afternoon.

Pipe repairs will continue into early November — MWS did not provide a specific date for completion.

Upon the completion of the repair, road restoration and repaving will be done.

“Water service has been restored to all customers; however, Chestnut Street will remain closed between Humphreys Street and Martin Street,” MWS shared.
