The Pike County Sheriff’s Office Metro Detail and the Parish County Line Task Force partnered with the City of Magnolia Police Department in a joint public safety operation aimed at curbing youth gang violence and removing illegal guns from local streets.

During the effort, law enforcement officials recovered multiple firearms, including one reported stolen out of Jackson, Mississippi.

Sheriff Wally Jones said the collaboration reflects an ongoing countywide push to reduce violent crime and improve quality of life in municipalities across Pike County.

The Sheriff’s Office noted the operation is part of a broader initiative to get illegal weapons out of the community and deter gang activity.
