A Stoneham man accused of detonating an explosive in an ATM in Woburn last month was arrested by federal agents at his home Wednesday, court records show.
Christopher Silva,43, was charged with maliciously damaging property used in interstate commerce and appeared in federal court in Boston on Wednesday afternoon, according to the records.
He was ordered detained, court records show.
The explosion occurred early on the morning of Sept. 4 at a drive through ATM at Eastern Bank on Mishawum Road, officials said. Nobody was injured in the blast.
Security video of the ATM showed a person, now identified as Silva, wearing a blue balaclava covering his face approach the machine at 4:12 a.m. and placing a “brown or tan-colored object on the bottom right corner of the ATM,” an FBI investigat
