CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau man is facing multiple felony charges after an incident on Wednesday, October 29.

According to online court records, a victim filed a report with the Cape Girardeau Police Department claiming 41-year-old Theon Mackins hit them in the face while they were asleep in bed.

The victim also said Mackins threatened to burn down the residence if they left.

While at the police station, officers say the victim had visible swelling and redness on their face, and during the interview, dispatch was notified of a fire at the victim’s home.

According to online court documents, the fire started in a closet without electrical outlets or wiring. The fire caused approximately $20,000 in structural damage and repair costs.
