A murder investigation has been launched after a pensioner was found stabbed to death at a property in a quiet village.
Norfolk Police have arrested a man following the discovery of the 70-year-old at a home in Bowthorpe, Norfolk, during the early hours yesterday. The force attended an adress on Layer Close just before 4.45am following an alert from the ambulance service, which reported a man being violent at the property. Officers then arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Detective Chief Inspector Kev Barber confirmed that the victim and the suspect were known to one another. "Detectives will be working to establish the full circumstances of what happened this morning," he said.
