Police have arrested and charged an 18-year-old man in connection with a series of housebreakings, attempted housebreakings and a vehicle fire in the Lothians.

The incidents took place between Tuesday, 28 October and Friday, 31 October, 2025, at various addresses in Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Bonnyrigg, Dalkeith and Cockenzie.

The man was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 3 November, 2025.

Police say that their enquiries are ongoing.
