CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia First Lady Denise Morrisey announced two holiday-themed creative initiatives for state residents: an inaugural gingerbread house competition and a call for custom, history-themed ornaments to celebrate the Governor’s Mansion’s 100th anniversary.
The First Lady’s Gingerbread House Competition is open to local K-12 classrooms and adult participants.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to spark creativity while celebrating the joy of Christmas,” said First Lady Denise Morrisey.
“We’re excited to see the talent and imagination from students and adults alike on full display at the Culture Center this season.”
Public, private, and homeschool classrooms may submit one entry. Adult participants may submit one entry per individual or team. A panel will judge entri
