The City of Winnipeg is hiring a new full-time Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) Employment Consultant — a position that could pay more than $120,000 a year — to help make the municipal workforce more inclusive and reflective of the city’s population.

According to the city’s job posting, the consultant will “develop, implement, and evaluate employment programs that advance the City of Winnipeg’s EDIA goals and priorities.” The role will focus on promoting equitable hiring practices, analyzing workforce data, and advising department managers on strategies to reduce barriers for underrepresented groups, including Indigenous, racialized, disabled, and 2SLGBTQ+ employees.
