BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Volunteers came together to renovate two apartments for Bismarck Cancer Center patients.

The Bismarck Cancer Center’s two patient apartments are undergoing a major community-led renovation. The project upgrades four bedrooms, two kitchens and two living rooms across the apartments.

“We want this apartment to be a relaxing and welcoming space for cancer patients. A place where they can go after their treatments and then truly relax and recover from what their going through,” said Karli Skjeret, the team lead for Bismarck Mandan’s Professional Women in Building’s Room Refresh Committee.

Bismarck-Mandan Professional Women in Building hopes to do more renovations and continue on the room refresh project on an annual basis.
