After initially being seeded as the 24th and last team to qualify for the Class 4A state playoffs, Longmont football found out Monday that Skyline will take its place instead.

A text statement sent to BoCoPreps from the CHSAA office said: “Longmont High was deemed ineligible to take the 24th seed playoff spot due to an unintentional administrative oversight that resulted in a self-reported rules violation. Skyline High School, the next eligible team in the seeding data, will assume Longmont’s place in the postseason bracket and will travel to No. 9 Northfield as the No. 24 seed.”
