Voters have been coming to the polls strong on Election Day.
KOAT Political Expert Brian Sanderoff says 120,000 people voted in the race for Albuquerque mayor in 2021. As of Tuesday afternoon more than 133,000 people have voted in the 2025 election.
While the mayoral race is a nonpartisan race, Sanderoff says Democrats are voting at a higher rate than Republicans.
In a KOAT & Albuquerque Journal Poll, 37% of voters were undecided about their choice for mayor.
