The Kyrene School District proposed an override fund has been approved with over 16,8000 votes the continue the override funding that will assist with teacher salaries, classroom instructional tools, reduced class sizes and more.

Unofficial results tally over 29,000 votes with over 59% supporting the override.

The maintenance and operations override does not ask for new funding, only to move funding to assist with other school necessities.

Renewing the existing override would not be a new tax on property owners, officials said.
