ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - One man is dead after a shooting at a northeast Atlanta apartment building early Wednesday morning, according to police.
The 911 call came in just after midnight to the Bethel Towers Apartments on Auburn Avenue. Police say there was some sort of argument or attempted robbery that led to an exchange of gunfire in the hallway.
Paramedics rushed a 39-year-old man to Grady Memorial Hospital, but he did not survive. Another man walked into Grady on his own.
“Investigating the initial, alerted to a walk-in at Grady, another male shot as well. He’s currently in stable but critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds as well,” Lt. Christapher Butler of the Atlanta Police Department said.
