BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Pam Sharp has been appointed to the North Dakota Ethics Commissioner, filling one of three vacancies.
Sharp succeeds Ward Koeser, one of the original members of the ethics commission. Sharp previously served as Deputy Director for the Office of Management and Budget.
With Sharps' appointment, the ethics commission fills one of three vacancies. Currently, Commissioner Murray Sagsveen is serving on the commission despite his term expiring earlier this year.
Unlike the outgoing Koeser, Sagsveen has sought to be reappointed to another term.
His reappointment has been held up by Governor Kelly Armstrong. Commissioners are appointed by consensus agreement of the governor, the majority leader of the Senate, and the minority leader of the Senate
