CARMEL – A Brewster man is facing charges of public lewdness and trespass for allegedly walking on the Putnam Bike Trail shortly before midnight without wearing a stitch of clothing.
The sheriff’s department announced the arrest Tuesday of 30-year-old Dennis Cantoral-Lopez in connection with the incident.
Sheriff Brian Hess said during a night-time patrol of the Bike Trail in the vicinity of the Putnam Plaza Shopping Center in Carmel, deputies observed a fully nude Cantoral-Lopez.
The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, wrapped in a blanket, and in accordance with state law, Cantoral-Lopez was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Carmel Court at a later date.
