WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - From November 1 through April 30, drivers can’t park on Watertown streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. They risk getting towed. A sign winter weather is on its way, and Department of Public Works crews will soon be plowing snow.
“Every year it’s the same thing over and over. The biggest issue we have is cars parked in the street. We can’t do our job safely and efficiently if cars are parked in the street,” said DPW Superintendent Brian McCue
That’s just one regulation that comes with the shift toward the winter season. City residents are also required to keep their sidewalks clear of snow and ice for walkers. Don’t put snow back into the streets. Not following these rules can get you a fine from the codes department.
