ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Six puppies were found abandoned outside in rural Missouri.
Five Acres Animal Shelter said the animals were underweight when they were found on Tuesday. The shelter will keep the puppies for two weeks while they gain weight, are cleared of diseases and given vaccines, microchips, preventatives and are spayed and neutered.
The shelter anticipates the cost to care for the puppies to be around $3,000. Click here to donate to the facility.
