CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston community gathered in prayer Wednesday evening for a College of Charleston student who has been missing since Halloween.

The College’s Alpha Tau Omega chapter organized the prayer vigil in the campus’s Cistern Yard for their missing brother, 19-year-old Owen Tillman Kenney.

“As a young person, it is very hard to navigate these different feelings because you have a very busy schedule with classes, jobs, and all the things involved. The tragedy that is going on right now with Owen’s absence has created a very difficult season for college students, so that’s why I’m here, and that’s why so many others have come to support students in this season,” Rev. John Poole with Charleston Wesley Foundation said.
