BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Business owners looking to receive financial support can now apply for the Innovate ND Grant Program.
The North Dakota Department of Commerce has opened the program for three weeks so entrepreneurs can fund their business and learn strategies to get it off the ground.
A spokesperson for Innovate ND said the program is focused on supporting businesses with strong potential for Primary Sector Certification — a designation administered by the state's Department of Commerce that qualifies a business for various state and local incentives.
Innovate ND operates as a voucher-based reimbursement program, offering up to $50,000, which is divided into two phases. Participants are given up to $25,000 in grant dollars and have six months to complete each phase.
