WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) - With winter on the horizon, the City of Watertown reminded the public about winter parking and snow removal regulations.
Starting on November 1, drivers aren't able to park on city streets from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. This regulation will remain in effect until April 30.
This is to allow for snow plows to remove snow from city streets. Any violators may be subject to a fine as well as charges for having their vehicle towed off the road.
City residents are also reminded to keep their sidewalks clear of ice and snow for walkers. Watertown officials also reminded residents to make sure fire hydrants are clear so fire crews can have access in case of emergency.
