TOWN OF MASSENA, N.Y. (WWTI) - Part of State Route 37 near Massena was closed for several hours after a crane truck overturned.
According to the New York State Police, the crash occurred just before 12:10 p.m. on State Route 37 in the town of Louisville near Massena Central School.
The road reopened just after midnight, according to the state.
An early investigation allegedly found that a 2024 Peterbilt crane truck, operated by 58-year-old Frank Ledeay of Bloomington, Texas, was traveling east when he exited the roadway for an unknown reason.
The truck then entered the median, overturned, and came to a stop in the roadway, according to state troopers.
Ledeay was extricated from the truck and transported to Massena Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was later airlifted
