LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln city leaders on Thursday unveiled new efforts to expand access to affordable childcare, including $250,000 in tuition aid and zoning updates to help centers grow.
Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird joined Lincoln Littles Executive Director Anne Brandt and City Planning and Development Services Director David Carey at a local childcare center to unveil the initiatives.
“Access to high-quality, affordable childcare is fundamental to supporting our working families,” Mayor Gaylor Baird said. “These investments will strengthen families, children, and the future of our community.”
