AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 38-year-old man from Kyle pleaded guilty Tuesday to three charges related to three separate armed robberies that occurred in June and July in Austin, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
The DOJ said Yael Williams Jr., 38, used a gun during robberies at three Austin businesses.
“In the presence of store employees, Williams took cash and other property by force and by threatening the employees with a .22 caliber revolver,” the DOJ said.
During one robbery, the DOJ said Williams fired several shots at two bystanders. Officials said one was attempting to intervene and stop the robbery.
