COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The City of Columbia has announced that it will implement a clear bag policy for Finlay Park’s re-opening weekend.
The city said the policy will be in effect during the park’s grand re-opening weekend, starting Nov. 15. Officials also said the policy is “to help keep all visitors safe and ensure a great experience for everyone.”
Per the policy, approved bags include wristlets, small clutches, clear totes, backpacks and fanny packs, a gallon plastic freezer bag and diaper bags.
Prohibited bags include purses, backpacks, luggage, trash bags, coolers and camera bags unless you are a credentialed member of the press.
WIS has reached out to the city for additional comment and clarification on the policy, including whether it will be enforced at future events or visits
