MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man wanted for first-degree murder was arrested by the Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) on Tuesday, officials said.
21-year-old Kamari West was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
On November 4, the MSTF arrested West on a warrant for first-degree murder at a home at 9:05 p.m. Agents with the task force saw his car at the home, knocked, and said they were there with a warrant for his arrest. According to officials, he did try to run from officers but stopped and was taken into custody.
West was wanted as a suspect in the murder of Jaden Echols on March 24, 2025, officials said.
While searching the home, task force officers found four guns. Officers also found 21-year-old Mario Metcalf, who had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, theft of property, a
