ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Ridgway man is facing charges after he allegedly bit a woman so hard her top and bottom lip were "hanging off her mouth."

Hunter Rooney, 23, is facing assault and drug charges after officers were called to an apartment on Montmorenci Road, according to a criminal complaint. On Nov. 1, officers with the Ridgway Borough Police Department arrived to find Rooney and a female victim on the porch.

Rooney allegedly began screaming at officers and tried to push an officer. He was arrested at this point and placed in a police cruiser. The female victim then screamed for officers to help. Police noted that she was bleeding heavily from her mouth and lower face. The victim told police that Rooney had bitten her and police wrote that he had left a large wound on her mouth.
