BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A former Bellefonte assistant coach is facing DUI charges after police were called to the scene of a crash back in August.
According to court documents, Spring Township police were called out for a vehicle crash with injury on Aug. 16 around 5:45 p.m., where a black GMC Sierra pickup truck was found on its side in the roadway. Police identified the driver of the pickup truck as 44-year-old Matthew R. Masullo.
Police say that as they were speaking with Masullo, he allegedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, with red watery eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of alcohol. According to the affidavit, he admitted to having three or four beers at a local brewery.
