ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Asheville Police Department reports four people were arrested after an operation resulted in the seizure of multiple firearms and narcotics on Tuesday.
Officers said a joint operation, including detectives, members of the Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department Illegal Gun Reduction and Narcotics Task Force, began in response to recent community complaints and concerns about illicit drug and gun activity.
Police report seizing 26.91 grams of crack cocaine and seven guns, including an AK-47 and a Glock pistol with a switch.
Kuron Christopher Grant, 23, was charged with possession schedule II, four counts of probation violation and four counts of second degree trespass. He was issued a $39,000 secured bond.
