MASSENA, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 51-year-old woman, who was a convicted sex offender, is accused of failing to notify officials about an address change.

The Massena Police Department charged Valerie Cleveland with a sex offender registry violation.

She was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail.

According to the New York State Sex Offender Registry, Cleveland was convicted in 2007 for having contact with a 16-year-old girl.

She was sentenced to 18 months to three years in prison.
