Boil order issued after water main break on Alexander Road

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) -- A water main break has caused many homes in west Bloomington to be put under a boil order.

Early Thursday morning, a water main broke on Alexander Road near Miller Park. Homes from Canada Lane to Six Points Road will need to boil their water before using it to drink or cook.

The break has since been repaired but the boil order is still underway as Bloomington Water Department tests the water and deems it safe to use.
