MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — After being named Mt. Juliet's new chief of police last week, Tyler Chandler sat down with News 2 to share his priorities and vision for his hometown as the department continues to invest in even more technology to better serve the community.
On Oct. 27, the City of Mt. Juliet celebrated the opening of its new police headquarters, as well as the swearing in of its eighth police chief following the promotion of the previous chief, Michael Mullins, to Mt. Juliet's deputy city manager.
“Mt. Juliet's home to me. I grew up here,” Chandler stated.
For Chandler, it was truly a calling at a young age.
“Being a police officer was a dream of mine ever since I was little bitty,” he said.
