(WTAJ) -- Officials gathered at Cold Stream Dam Recreation Park in Philipsburg Thursday to promote sober driving during the holiday season.

The 'Choose Your Ride' event, organized by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Highway Safety Network (HSN), Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), and the Pennsylvania DUI Association (PA DUI), aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. The event featured a display of vehicles, including a PSP patrol car, an ambulance, a fire truck, and a hearse to illustrate the potential consequences of driving under the influence.
