WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – A Sedgwick County man is waiting to hear what a jury thinks of his defense in the case of a teenager he admits shooting in the Goddard Walmart parking lot last May.

That teen, Anakin Zehring , is now permanently paralyzed from the waist down. Ruben Contreras faces first-degree attempted murder charges for the shooting.
